Holiday Trainland

Interactive train displays highlight the "Indiana Rail Road Company presents Holiday Trainland" event at White River Gardens. This delighful event for the whole family includes hundreds of beautiful holiday plants and flowers for the adults, along with interactaive "O" guage model trains displays for young visitors (and those who are young at heart), plus "double-decker" "G" displays.

The northern two quadrants feature the "G" scale trains, with four separate tracks highlighting different types of "G" trains, complete with such accessories as towns and villages. These trains are the typical "garden" trains that perform in outdoor gardens exposed to the weather.

The southern half of the Conservatory is the location for the large layout for the traditional "O" guage trains, which is smaller than the "G" track and has three rails. Two main tracks, one small oval track, and other straight line tracks are featured with the layout. These trains may whistle as they pass you by!

The Conservatory is visited by nearly 50,000 visitors during the holiday season and also features material on the future of railroading.
