Joe Gioe
President
& CEO
Joseph Gioe, a successful railroad leader with 20 years of industry experience, was named President and Chief Executive Officer in August of 2024. Joe brings a strong focus on safety, service, efficiency, and employee development.
​
Joe began his railroad career as a locomotive engineer and front-line supervisor in 2005 and rose through management roles of increasing responsibility. He has held leadership positions at two Class I railroads with the majority of his career spent at BNSF Railway, where he was twice named employee of the year for intermodal train execution and delivery of major infrastructure projects. He also served as Vice President of Transportation for Norfolk Southern.

A graduate of Colorado State University Global, Joe is married with three daughters and one grandson. Joe enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, and attending sporting events. He is also an avid fly fisherman.
Jodi Heath
Vice President
Business Development
Jodi is responsible for leading the company’s Merchandise business portfolio as well as oversees INRD's Business Development team. Jodi joined INRD in early 2024 in her current role.

Jodi began her railroading career with Norfolk Southern. She has experience working at Pioneer Lines, Patriot Rail, and Genesee & Wyoming. Jodi was named Railway Age's Women in Rail Woman of the Year in 2023.
Jodi is a graduate of Indiana University/Purdue University Fort Wayne. Her two sons both served or are serving in the US Army and her daughter-in-law served in the US Air Force. She has four delightful grandchildren and enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, golfing, tennis, softball and pickleball.
Shae LeDune
Vice President
Human Resources & Regulatory Compliance
Shae is responsible for managing and implementing the company’s workforce strategies and regulatory compliance. Formerly Assistant Vice President, Human Resources, she has been in her current role since early 2023.
Shae has held various positions across departments since joining INRD in 2009 including Human Resource Generalist, Director, Human Resources, and Executive Assistant.
Shae is a graduate of Indiana State University and is married with two children. She enjoys soccer, camping, and boating as well as volunteering with the Lexington Group for Transportation History.
Bryant McCuan
Vice President
Engineering
Bryant oversees engineering operations including track infrastructure and maintenance of way. Formerly Assistant Vice President, Engineering, he has been in his current role since early 2023.

An Army Veteran, Bryant's industry experience spans nearly 25 years at CN including the former Illinois Central Railroad. He has held various positions spanning Laborer, Track Supervisor, Senior Manager, and now Vice President.
​
Bryant is married with five children and four grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys horseback riding, deer hunting, and working his farm.
Josh Ward
Vice President
Accounting & Finance
Josh leads planning and implementation of all finance activities at INRD, as well as overseeing the company's real estate assets. He was promoted to his current position in 2023 after serving as Assistant Vice President & Controller.

After joining INRD in 2003 as an accountant, Josh has held positions of increasing responsibility and oversight within the accounting department.
​
A Purdue University graduate, Josh is married with two children. Exercise is an important part of Josh's life; he regularly runs, swims, and lifts wights. He is extremely active in youth sports, particularly softball and volleyball.
Derrick Wright
Vice President
Operations & Mechanical
Derrick has oversight of all field operations, including intermodal operations, car and locomotive assets, and train operations. A recent addition to the Executive Leadership, Derrick joined INRD in late 2022 in his current role.

Derrick's vast industry experience includes tenure with CSX, Genesee & Wyoming, and Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD). He has held multiple management positions including Terminal Superintendent, Chief Operations Officer, and Vice President.
​
Derrick, who earned his undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky and MBA from the University of Denver, is married with two children and three dogs. He enjoys home improvement projects and playing golf.
